(Refer Section 35(g))

             A proposal for conferment of Honorary Degree may be made by the Standing Committee of the Academic
  Council unanimously. It shall be placed before a committee consisting of the Kulpati, a nominee of the Kuladhipati and
  the Dean of the Faculty concerned. If the committee unanimously recommends that an honorary degree be conferred
  on any person on the ground that he is, in its opinion, a fit and proper person to receive such degree, its recommendation
  shall be placed, before the Academic Council. On approval by the Academic Council it shall go before the Executive

            If not less than two-thirds of the members of the Executive Council recommend and when their recommendation
   is supported by a majority of not less than two-thirds of the members present and voting at a meeting of the Court,
   such majority being not less than one-half of the total membership of the Court, for the time being, the court may, if
   such recommendation is confirmend by the Kuladhiapti. Confer on such person, the honorary degree so recommended.

         Provided that, in case of urgency, the Kuladhipati may act on the recommendation of the Executive Council.

         Provided that, in cases of emergency such proposal may be confirmed by Kuladhipati if the said Committee's
   recommendations has been approved by the Executive Council.
