STATUTE No. 15
REGISTRATION OF GRADUATES
(Refer Section 46)

     1. Persons entitled to registration in the Register of Registered Graduate under Section 46, shall apply to the Registrar
         of the University in the form 'A' given in the Appendix.

     2. Graduate shall be registered as life members only on payment of sum of Rs.50/- provided that graduates registered
         after 26.11.86 shall be registered as members on payment of Rs. 50/- for a period of three years only. On the expiry
         of this   period from the date of their registration, the graduate shall seek re-registration through an application to the
         University in the firm prescribed for this purpose on payment of a fee of Rs. 20/-. The names of registered graduates
         those who fail to get, themselves re-registered with in the appointed time shall automatically stand removed from the
         register of registered  graduates and the Registrar shall authenticate scoring out of such names.

     3. Application for registration may be made at any time during a year.

                  Provided that only those graduates who are either registered or registered graduates of the University ninety
  days prior to the date of election of registered graduates for membership of the court, shall be eligible to stand as
  candidate for and vote at such election.

      4. For the purpose of enrolment in the Register of registered graduates -
          (a)   the period of three years standing shall be reckoned from the day on which the applicant's degree was signed
                 by the Kulpati or other competent authority of the University,
          (b)  the following evidence shall be produced by the applicant in support of graduation -
                (i) his degree or a copy thereof duly attested by a gazetted officer or a professor or a principal of a college, or
                 (ii) certificate from the Registrar of the University conferring degree to the effect that he has been admitted to
                      the degree.
                (iii) the calender or other authorised publication of the University.
                 (iv) any other evidence to the satisfaction of the Registrar.
          (c) The following evidence shall be produced in support of residence viz.-
                1. A certificate from-
                    (i) A statutory officer of the University.
                    (ii) A principal of college in the University.
                   (iii) A professor, college professor or reader of the University.
                   (iv) A magistrate.
                   (v) A Gazetted Officer of the state of Madhya Pradesh or the Central Government.

OR

                2. Such other evidence of residence as may be accepted as satisfactory by the Registrar in this behalf.

       5. The name of the applicant, if he is duly qualified and has paid the enrolment fee, will be entered in the register.

       6. The Registrar shall maintain in his office the Register of Registered Graduates showing their names and addresses
            including place of residence and district, name of the degree and the year of award of the degree together with
            the name of the University which awarded the degree and the signature of the Registrar against entry of each
            name in the register. The register shall be open for inspection.

        7. Every Registered Graduate shall intimate to the Registrar all changes in his permanent address.

        8. The Registrar shall by a notice sent alongwith one blank form B (as given in the Appendix) to each person
            registered as a registered graduate of the University on the date on which the Adhiniyam came into force and in
            such newspaper as the Kulpati may approve, call upon every such registered graduate to declare if he is enrolled
            as a registered graduate of any other University and to exercise under section 46 of the Adhiniyam his option, if
            necessary, to continue as a registered graduate of the University. Such declaration and option shall be sent to the
            Registrar so as to reach him on or before the 4th November.

5.     District in which place of residence is located.
6.     Distance of the place of residence from the Administrative office of the University (More than 15 Kms or less than
         15 kms).
7.     Whether enrolled as Registered Graduate of any other University. If no, give the name of the University, and
          Registration Number
8.     Whether prepared to cease to be a Registered Graduate of the University/Universities shown in (7) above, if this
          application for registration succeeds.

Section 46 of M. P. Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1973

Registered Graduates
46.     The following persons, shall, on payment of such fees as may be prescribed by the Statutes be entitled to have
            their names enrolled in the register of registered graduates to be maintained in such form as may be prescribed
            by the Statutes:
(A)    any graduate of the University;
(B)    any graduate of atleast three years standing of any other University incorporated by law in India and residing within
          the territorial jurisdiction of the University.

                      Provided that a graduate registered as a registered graduate in more than one of the Universities under the
  enactments repealed under section (2) shall, within period of six months from the date appointed under sub-section (3)
  of section 1, by a declaration, in such form as may be prescribed by Statutes filed before the Registrar of any of the
  Universities in respect of which he fulfills the conditions laid down in clause (a) or (b) above exercise his option to be
  a registered graduate of such University and on exercise of such option he shall cease to be a registered graduate of all
  the other Universities, of which he was a registered graduate before the date aforementioned :

                     Provided that if any such registered graduate fails to exercise the option under the preceding proviso, he
  shall on the expiration of the period of six months from the date appointed under sub-section (3) of section 1, cease to
  be registered graduate of all the Universities of which he was a registered graduate prior to such date.

  “(2) Notwithstanding the fact that the period specified in the Provisions to sub-section (1) has expired, the Kuladhipati
  may, if he is of the opinion that it is necessary so to do in respect of any University by order declare that the said period
  shall stand extended by a further period of six months from the date of expiry of the aforesaid period in respect of that
  University and thereupon the reference to the period of six months in the said proviso shall, with respect to that University
  be read and construed as a reference to the period so extended.”
